Director

Kevork Aslanyan

Kevork's journey in the industry began with comedic pieces, an unexpected starting point for someone who doesn't necessarily consider themselves funny. Yet, there's an undeniable allure to crafting humour, a paradox he embraces. However, his creative appetite extends far beyond comedy. He yearns to delve into dramatic, melancholic narratives that tug at heartstrings, unravel relationships, and lay bare the darker facets of human nature. His artistic signature is a delightful mishmash, a dance between comedy, drama, and melancholy, all wrapped in an enigmatic smile. Within this eclectic mix, you might stumble upon polar bears, T-rexes, flying figures, and whimsical animations, each adding a surreal layer to his storytelling tapestry. And. not to forget the stellar performances of actors who breathe life into his narratives, elevating them to new heights. Formally trained, Kevork earned his BA in Film and TV editing from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2009. Seeking further refinement of his craft, he pursued studies at the London Film Academy, graduating as a Writer & Director in 2012. His directorial debut came in 2015 with the short film "GETTING FAT IN A HEALTHY WAY," marking the beginning of what promises to be a captivating cinematic journey.
